Seed Matriz is not just a technological change, but a cultural change.

Germán Di Bella is an agricultural producer, a leader in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and someone who is always one step ahead. We have known him for a long time and admire his way of thinking, because he combines field experience with a strategic vision. And because he understands that daring to change is part of the journey.

When we asked him about Seed Matriz, Germán was clear:

“Seed Matriz is not just a technological change, but a cultural one. The biggest challenge is for the industry to see it. To understand that encapsulation enhances seeds, enhances genetics. To see that this will give them more value.”

Innovation is not only about creating the capsule. It also involves changing the way we plant, plan, and make decisions from the beginning. As Germán says:

“Planting evenly and at the same depth is the job of encapsulation. After that, what happens in the field is not controlled by Seed Matriz. Ours is an open-air job, and if you start wrong, you won’t recover.”

This reflection made something very clear to us: technology alone doesn’t guarantee anything. But when used correctly, it can make a huge difference.

We also talked about the generations currently coexisting in agriculture:

“Today, there are three generations in the field. The older ones, who are more distant from technology. The middle ones, who are learning every day and don’t want to be left behind. And the younger ones, who use simplified technologies to make quick decisions. There is a change, and it’s strong.”

This perspective confirms that innovation is not just about responding to the challenges of the present but preparing for what’s coming.

At the end, Germán spoke about something that feels very close to us: passion as a driving force.

“I really admire the passion behind Seed Matriz. The young people, the leaders. You must push this until the passion runs out. And I know Fede Cola: his passion is endless.”

At Seed Matriz, we continue to bet on the passion that got us here: adapting, improving, learning, and always looking for new paths. As Germán says:

“That’s what a startup must do: have passion, change direction, look for new players. And make everyone feel that same passion. That’s what we must protect.”

Thank you, Germán, for your generosity, your vision, and your drive to keep sowing change.
